Malcom drops that little training was done at Barca
Malcom formerly of Barca now at Zenit in Saint Petersburg reviewed the Barca news. The Brazilian, who misses Barcelona, spoke of the possible return of Neymar, with whom he could not coincide wearing Barca. “If he returns, he will perform as he did in the past, for sure. The truth is last year we didn’t talk much about Neymar in the locker room. We listened to television, to the press but we wanted to win everything and we did not get involved.
“We did not discuss the future with Philippe. I can’t tell if he’s going to come back. But if it does, it will give Barcelona great joy, of that I am sure. On his stage in Barcelona, Malcolm recalled the goal that marked Madrid. “It was my best moment and then Inter’s. It was a dream to play at Barca, I learned a lot on and off the field.” He also pointed out that “I think I deserved more minutes but the players always want to be playing. For what he did on the field I think he deserved more but that is innate to every player, we all want to participate as much as possible”.
Malcom, who also spoke of the short duration of training in Barcelona, defended the role of Messi in the dressing room. “It’s not that I have that much power. We were all a family. Not that Leo is president. Leo spoke as captain with the squad, he asked us, we held meetings to find out what we thought and then he spoke with the president, ”revealed the Brazilian.
Now he longs to see the Argentine star, who he hopes will have football for a while. “I think Messi is going to play until he is 40. We have to pass the Coronavirus quickly to see Leo Messi on the field again..
