Theo Hernandez is longing to play alongside his brother Lucas again.
The Frenchman Theo Hernandez arrived last summer from Real Madrid and has already established himself as one of the best full-backs in Serie A if not in Europe, having netted six times in all competitions this season making him the club’s second-top scorer behind Ante Rebic.
His excellent performances have endeared him to the Rossoneri fans but have also led to suggestions that the LaLiga side regrets selling him to Milan for a fee widely reported to be around €20m.
Theo Hernandez said on Tuesday that playing with his brother Lucas Hernandez, Bayern Munich defender, “would be a dream” and stressed that it would be “even better” if it were at the Milanese club. “Playing with my brother would be a dream. I already did it in the lower categories when I was little. I hope to play with him later and if he is at Milan, the better,” said Theo Hernandez, one of the great revelations of Serie A before the interruption by the coronavirus, by answering questions from fans through the Instagram account of the Milanese club.
Theo Hernandez explained that he lives in “quiet” isolation at his Milanese home, that he is eager to train again and play and that the players with whom he gets along best in Milan are those who speak Spanish, such as Samu Castillejo or Diego Laxalt. He reported that what he likes most about Milan at the San Siro stadium and that he loves buying clothes on Montenapoleone street, one of the symbols of Milanese fashion.
He also assured that he wants to improve in the defensive phase, which is what “costs him the most”, and considered that “little by little” he is improving. Regarding who are the Milan legends he prefers, Theo named the Brazilians Ronaldinho Gaucho and Ricardo Kaká and the Italian Paolo Maldini..
