FC Barcelona already has another confirmed signing for next season. After Francisco Trincao (Sporting Braga) and Matheus Fernandes (now on loan from Palmeiras to Valladolid); and with Pedri on loan in Las Palmas after being a tie in 2019; Miralem Pjanic will be the second Bosnian in the history of the Barca club after Meho Kodro. The Barca and JuveThey made the transaction official on Monday for 60 million euros fixed and five variables. The Balkan, 30, signs for four campaigns, that is, until 2024 and will have a clause of 400 million.
As in the case of Arthur Melo, sold this afternoon to the ‘Juventus’ for 72 million-plus 10 variables. He will join the Barca club when the Champions League ends in August; a competition in which both could face their future clubs.
The Italian club has reported that the two operations will be paid for four years and that the accounting profit for Pjanic is 41.8 million after costing him 32 in 2016 when he arrived from Rome.
Barcelona doctor Javier Yanguas, who traveled with Arthur to Turin; was also responsible for supervising the medical examination of Pjanic in the Piemonte capital; prior to the green light of his hiring. It took the Bosnian less cost than the Brazilian to make the decision to change clubs and; already reached an agreement with Barca in April waiting for Arthur to say ‘yes’ to Juventus.
Pjanic, without the full confidence of coach Maurizio Sarri, was always a Barcelona priority; during the almost two months of refusals by the Brazilian to youth offensives. Pjanic will keep the record he has at Juventus (7.5 million euros net).
Your transfer will not be calculated in the 2019-20 financial year of FC Barcelona; since it will not begin to amortize until next time. Pjanic is a footballer that he already liked a few seasons ago and his versatility in the midfield; and experience is valued to be a reference in a locker room that will be rejuvenated.
